From Chinese roots to contributing to Mauritius economic development

In the 1930’s See Fan Fon Sing came to Mauritius and chose to enter the real estate industry. By the 1970’s, the Fon Sing Property Ltd had developed various properties such as the Galeries Evershine in Rose-Hill, the first shopping malls of the island, or the Moorgate House, inspired by international property development trends.

Building the MaxCity new story

During the 1990’s, Maxime Fon Sing, son of See Fan Fon Sing, followed his own path in the industry and developed the first successful projects of the Group, Max Tower in Port-Louis and Max Plaza in Péreybère. Under MaxCity Properties, Maxime Fon Sing backed by his sons Danny and Max, set out to create a portfolio of avant-garde residential, commercial, morcellement and corporate projects in some of Mauritius’ prime locations.

The 2000’s decades helped establish a MaxCity signature within the industry. Since 2017, our MaxCity Property Fund has raised 3 bn MUR in capital. In 2021, MaxCity Property Fund raised 1 bn MUR as refinancing, testifying the credibility of MaxCity Capital within the business community in Mauritius.
